QUVO — LOCAL PROTOTYPE 0.4.0

Quvo supports English, Russian, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, and Kazakh.
The Windows setup uses English. This prototype requires no purchase, account,
subscription, or license key. Use desktop Google Chrome 116 or later.
This is a local unpacked build, not a published Chrome Web Store listing.

INSTALL ON WINDOWS

1. Extract Quvo-0.4.0-Windows.zip and run Quvo-Setup-0.4.0.exe.
2. Click Prepare extension files. Setup prepares this permanent folder:
   %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Quvo\extension
   Administrator access is not required.
3. Click Open Chrome extensions, or enter chrome://extensions in Chrome.
4. Enable Developer mode in the upper-right corner.
5. Click Load unpacked.
6. In setup, click Copy folder path. Paste the path into Chrome's folder
picker and select extension, the folder containing manifest.json.
7. Pin Quvo using Chrome's puzzle-piece menu. Click the Quvo icon to open
the side panel. You can open a full workspace tab from the panel.

Setup prepares the files; you complete the Load unpacked step in Chrome.
This prototype installer does not have a Windows digital signature yet.
Keep the extension folder on your computer after connecting it.
For updates, use the same folder and reload the extension's card at
chrome://extensions instead of removing the extension.

ZIP option: extract quvo-PROTOTYPE-0.4.0.zip into a permanent Quvo\extension
folder, then follow steps 3–7. Source checkouts already contain extension.
The manual extension ZIP also works with desktop Chrome on macOS and Linux;
choose its permanent extracted folder at chrome://extensions.

LANGUAGE, NUMBER FORMAT, AND CURRENCY

The extension initially uses Automatic language: it follows the first supported
language in your browser preferences and falls back to English. Open Settings
to choose Automatic or one of the seven languages. Number and date formats,
input hints, quote labels, and dialogs follow that language. Your own product
names, company details, contacts, units, notes, and terms are not translated.

Default currency is a separate setting. Supported currencies are USD, EUR, GBP,
CAD, AUD, KZT, and RUB. New workspaces default to USD. Choose the currency when
starting a quote. Language changes do not change currency or convert prices;
saved quotes retain their original item and amount snapshots.

Live help website with English and Russian video guides:

If the site is unavailable, these written installation steps still work.
Opening the help website is optional; catalog and quote work is local.

MOVE DATA FROM AN EARLIER PROTOTYPE

Before moving, export a full JSON backup from the earlier version's settings.
After installing Quvo, import that backup through Settings. Verify your
catalog, settings, and quote history before removing the earlier extension.
A different installation path can receive a separate Chrome extension ID
and storage area. Setup does not automatically read or migrate old data.

CREATE YOUR FIRST QUOTE

Add your products in Catalog or import a UTF-8 CSV file. Recommended header:
SKU,Name,Price,Unit,Currency

Sample row — replace it with your own products and prices:
A-101,Desk lamp,79.50,each,USD

For manual entry, use the separator shown for your selected language, such as
1250.50 in English or 1250,50 in Russian, without a currency symbol. The CSV
sample above uses a decimal point as an interchange convention. The currency
code is separate; there is no automatic currency conversion.

Choose the quote currency, add items and quantities, then enter an optional
discount and shipping charge. Add the customer, expiration date, and your
terms. Review the total and save the quote. Copy the prepared text into an
email or message, or print it. Chrome's print dialog can save it as a PDF.

Money is stored in integer cents and quantities in thousandths. Each line
rounds half-up to cents. A percentage discount applies to the sum of rounded
line totals; shipping is added after the discount. Discounts cannot exceed
the item subtotal. Automatic tax calculation is not included.
Catalog changes do not rewrite prices already added to a draft or saved quote.

DATA AND BACKUPS

Catalog, draft, history, and settings are stored in the current Chrome profile.
There is no sync server or built-in usage tracking. A different computer or
profile does not receive the data automatically. Local web previews and the
installed extension also use separate storage areas.

Export full JSON backups regularly and keep them outside the Chrome profile.
A catalog CSV is not a complete backup. A JSON backup can contain customer
names, contacts, and prices. Restoring a backup replaces current workspace
data. The previous valid workspace is retained to undo the last restore.

Removing the extension or profile can delete its local data. Export a full
JSON backup before removing or moving anything. Prototype limits: 5,000
products, 1,000 saved quotes, 100 items per quote, and 5 MB per CSV/JSON import.
Old quotes are not automatically discarded when the history reaches its limit.

WHATSAPP WEB

Catalog, calculations, history, and copying work without WhatsApp. Access to
https://web.whatsapp.com is requested only after your action. Open the chat,
select the tab, and check the displayed recipient and text before inserting.
Quvo inserts into an empty draft. You review and send the message yourself.
An existing draft should not be silently overwritten.

Compatibility with the current real WhatsApp Web still requires manual
testing. Fixture tests do not guarantee compatibility with your account or
future changes to the external service. If insertion is unavailable, copy
the quote and paste it manually. Quvo is an independent tool.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Check that the selected folder directly contains manifest.json. Review the
extension card's errors at chrome://extensions. If setup cannot find Chrome,
open the browser manually. For a workspace conflict, reload data in Quvo and
try the action again. Do not remove the extension without a full JSON backup.
